The problem and solution to make Amharic arnmedium of instruction are investigated in the research. Thernexistence of the electronic dictionary for science andrntechnology terms will promote the performance of professionalsrnto translate science and technology documents and to preparerndocument in the field.An information system is developed that provide basicrninformation and the procedures are described in this document .rnThe performance of the system is also tested using documentrnfile and user queries as inputs. The result shows the outputrninformation accuracy is inversely proportional to the numberrnof concept bearing words in t he query.
