This study measures the perceptions of consumers on quality and safety attributes of milk andrnButter in urban Ethiopia taking the case of Addis ababa.The main objective of the study was tornIdentify the major attributes of milk and butter as perceived by consumers.The study has also rnTried to identify the major socioeconomic and demographic determinants of perceptions forrnQuality and safety of milk and butter. Were the most preferrcd attributes inrnconsumers purchase decion.The result further shows that the demand for quality and safety rnimprovement of milk was relatively price inelastic as compared to butter rnwith regard to socil economic factor, however, variable such as sex, number of schooling rnfamily size and duration of stay in Addis Ababa were insignificant.
