This study aimed at exploring the public relation practices and challenges on disability in thernFederation of Ethiopian National Associations of Persons with Disabilities. The study alsornattempts to identify the PR tools implemented in public relations practices. In order to be able tornanswer the questions, quantitative and qualitative research designs were used. For thernquestionnaire of quantitative design, a total of 100 individuals from management members,rnsenior experts and members of the Federation of Ethiopian National Associations of Personsrnwith Disabilities (FENAPD) and its seven persons with disabilities associations with differentrnworking experience were selected and filled by them. For the in-depth interview of qualitativerndesign, from FENAPD and its seven persons with disabilities associations, eight individuals hadrnbeen interviewed. The interviewee selection was based on work position; so from each memberrnassociation and the federation one senior management member had been interviewed. Frequencyrnand percentage statistical techniques were used for quantitative data analysis by using SPSSrnstatistical software; while, the qualitative data was analyzed thematically. The outcome of therndata analysis revealed that the practices of public relation in Federation of Ethiopian NationalrnAssociations of Persons with Disabilities are limited to some activities of PR; there is shortagernof human power and budget in the PR department. There is also lack of organized, appropriaternPR activities and developing strategies and implement appropriate communication tools that canrnbe accessible to all public in different location of the country as much as possible and as quicklyrnas possible. The research shows that the practitioners are assigned by the managers ofrnFENAPD according to their skills and knowledge of public relation, this is the good part of thernfinding. Finally, the researcher forwarded recommendations to conduct and establish thernorganizational PR strategies in the Federation of Ethiopian National Associations of Personsrnwith Disabilities (FENAPD) that enables the PR practitioners to perform as per the plannedrnactivities and to implement diversified and appropriate PR activities and to overcome challenges
