The principal aim of this study was assessing the organizational communication satisfaction inrnOromia regional state government communication affairs bureau. The research was undertakenrnin the form of a case study with the research essentially combining qualitative and quantitativernresearch methodologies. The research data was collected by means of three methods of datarncollection, namely the survey questionnaire, in-depth interview and participant observation.rnThe study found that the overall organizational communication satisfaction in Oromia regionalrnstate government communication affairs bureau was below the standard of organizationalrncommunication satisfaction which shows weak organizational communication satisfaction.rnAccording to the result of the study from all dimension of organizational communicationrnsatisfaction the employees show the greatest satisfaction towards the horizontal/coworkerrncommunication. The employees show greatest satisfaction with the other employees at their levelrnor peer to peer communication in the organization.rnIn addition, the study found that there were sufficient forums and meeting for the communicationrnto exist though employees seldom get feedback when they communicate to managers. Managersrnwere not interested in hearing employee suggestions and poor integration between allrncommunication-related issues, including interdepartmental interaction and co-ordination.rnAs the study found the communication flows from top down and the limited informalrncommunication in the organization, the study recommends developing informal and multidirectionalrncommunication in the organization to increase the relationship between employeesrnwhich can increase communication satisfaction between employees in the organization.
