This paper is aimed at investigating the pro81e-ms of trwlsition from 'rnTigrinya to English as medium of instruction in Tigray taking Wer'lekernwereda as a sample.rnThe study included five instruments; observation, questionnaire,rninterview, test, and documents analysis to collect data. The datarncollected was analyzed using descriptive method and percent.age.rnThe data analyzed indicates that students in high school are highlyrnaffected by language (English) difficulty to learn other subjects. Andrnthis language difficulty causes their failure. So many problems arernthe reasons behind the students' lack of English proficiency in highrnschool. These are such as class SLZe, lack of facilities, teachers 'rntraining and others.
