The grammatical feature of the verb morphology of the Gaamo language has not beenrndocumented; so, the objective of this paper is documenting and describing part of the structure ofrnthe language. In order to achieve the objective, the first being data collection (by recordingrnvarious genres such likes narrative, folktales, proverbs) , transcription and translation of primaryrndata by using different relevant software and the second, descriptive analysis of these data.rnAs a result of this documentation, seventeen fol ktales, twenty proverbs and two narrations aboutrnthe history of the people and the place have been gathered in audio form. From those collectedrndata, seven fo lktales have been annotated. In the description of the language, it has been foundrnout that, Gaamo verbs are inflected for agreement, aspect, mood, negation, and infinitive forms.rnGrammatical categories marked by infixing or suffixing a morpheme to the base form. Anotherrnfeature is; sometimes a single morphological representation contains more grammaticalrninformation. Verbs in flect to mark mood types such as, Imperative, prohibitive, jussive andrninterrogative form.rnNegation is also a feature in which verbs inflected to mark; and infinitive form of the verb isrnformed by suffixing a morpheme.
