Over the course of the long history of Islam in Ethiopia many Ethiopian Muslimrnscholars wrote the biography (Sfrah) of the Prophet MuQammad. Among these isrnSayb Badr ai-Din of Qabena (1923 -1989). Sayb Badr ai-Din, using manyrnbooks as references, wrote six Arabic works on different topics, mostlyrntheological. This thesis catalogues these works, and gives a close analysis of hisrnSfrah manuscript. One major concern of this analysis is to find out the trustrnworthiness of Sayb Badr aI-DIn's biographical account according to early andrnmodern Sfrah works.
