The objective of this study was to assess the pharmaceutical distribution effectiveness atrncentral Pharmaceuticals Fund and Supply Agency. To achieve the research objective thernstudy employed a descriptive method and used quantitative research approach. Since thernresearcher target population was less than 100, total populations of pharmaceuticals andrnmedical supplies storage and distribution directorate staffs were involved by using censusrnmethod in the study. Accordingly 51 questionnaires were distributed, from which 44rnquestionnaires were properly filled and returned. The collected data were analyzed usingrndescriptive statistics. The major finding from the study was improper pharmaceuticalrnarrangement, inconvenient warehouse floor for movement of goods, fire safety equipmentrnis unavailable and inaccessible, lack of security controlling system in the warehouse arernidentified as the major gap of the Agency for pharmaceutical storage practice. Regardingrninventory control practice, there is no common data base, among central, branches andrnhealth facilities, to share the information about available products, stock out items and anyrntransaction of health commodity to assist decision makers. Based on the result it can bernconcluded that the information management practice of PFSA is very poor. Furthermore,rnthe original quality of the products will be lost before they reach to the end user due tornexposure of harsh environmental condition during transportation. Generally, the healthrncare needs of the public do not satisfied by Pharmaceutical Fund and Supply Agency.rnTherefore, the researcher recommend that the logistics management information systemrnshall be improved and integrated with the health management information system andrnstock management of health facilities to improve forecasting and quantification ofrnpharmaceuticals
