The purpose of the study was to examine factors affecting Timely Delivery of Packages inrnCourier and Logistics Business in Ethiopian postal service enterprise. The study was guided byrnthe following specific objectives; to determine the effect of operational related issues on timelyrndelivery of courier service, to assess the relationship between human related issues & timelyrndelivery of courier service, to determine the effect of logistical capability issues on timelyrndelivery of courier service, to examine the relationship between Addressing System & RoadrnCongestion & timely delivery of courier service, to determine if there is a relationship betweenrnCustoms & Carriers Performance and on time delivery of courier service and to assess thernrelationship between Customer Related Issues and timely delivery of courier service in EMSrnEthiopia. Quantitative research approaches and Explanatory research design was used tornidentify and examine factors that affect the performance of timely delivery the case company.rnThe total population numbers of purposively selected respondents were taken as the sample sizernof the study. The data was collected using a questionnaire comprised of 54 close-ended questionsrnwith Likert scale. Based on the findings, all of the independent factors were found to havernpositive and significant correlation with the dependent variable which is timely delivery ofrncourier packages. The ANOVA test result showed that, the value of R and R2 obtained under thernmodel summary was statistically significant. The multiple linear regression analysis revealedrnthat, 5 of the 6 independent variables (operational related issue, human factor related issue,rnlogistical capability issue, addressing system & road congestion and customs & carriers) have arnstatistically significant relationship to predict on time delivery performance. Based on thesernfindings, a recommendation that will improve on time delivery of courier package has beenrnforwarded
