Previous studies published thoughts that dry port container handling service Practice can bernaffected by many factors and this study revealed that factors such as insufficient port yardrnequipment, dwell time, container cargo volume and truck turnaround time, custom clearance,rnlimited storage capacity, poor logistics connections to hinterland and infrastructure directlyrninfluencing performance of container handling service in the port yard. Datche (2015) ,andrnNyma (2014)rnThis study has been tried to assess container handling practice and Its affecting factors at Mojornport and terminal. To undertake the study primary and secondary data had been collectedrnsecondary data is collected from mojo operational data base and the enterprise statisticalrnbulletin publishes on ( 2011EFY) and primary data is collected using questionnaire survey thatrnhad been built taking into account all the considerations expected to be factors and contributorsrnto performance of container handling service specially on container yard capacity , containerrndwelling time on the dry port , port machinery equipment productivity and availability , portrninfrastructure, custom processing time, of the dry port data will be Tangible, Reliability,rnResponsiveness, Assurance, and Empathy. Further, customerâ€™s perceptions were considered tornassess Customer looking on the dry port container handling service time performance. A samplernof customers, employee and custom employees at mojo port were selected using purposivernsampling technique. In addition, the data was analyzed using descriptive statistics researchrndesign approach Marczyket.al. (2005). The statistical methods of analysis included a descriptivernstatistics (frequency, mean, percentage) and text explanation , factors of analysis and the resultsrnare presented in different way, i.e.;- chart , graph, figures , table some other mechanism tornshow the real impact and factors of the variables on performance of container handling service.rnFinally we found from the study magnitude of the problem and gap , identify the real factorrnaffecting performance of container handling service.
