The study aimed to assess the warehouse practice of Omedad plc from the perspective of the fivernmajor warehouse practices: receiving, put away, storage, order picking and shipping. The studyrnused descriptive research design and applied both quantitative and qualitative researchrnapproach. The target population for the purpose of the study is small in number hence, the studyrnapplied census survey. Both primary and secondary data sources were used to attain thernobjectives of the study. Primary data were collected through semi structured questionnaires,rnunstructured interview and physical observation. The reason for using these three means of datarncollection is to triangulate the data obtained from each sources. To analyze the collected datarnfrequency table, percentage, mean and standard deviation were used with application of IBMrnSPSS statistics 23. The result of the study indicates that put away activity in the warehouse isrnpracticed below moderate which needs more emphasis; the receiving and shipping activity arernpracticed to moderate extent whereas storage and order picking are practiced to moderate andrngreater extent. The warehouse practice of the company has a gap in storage space utilization,rnmaterial handling equipments and absence of computerized warehouse management system. Thernresearcher recommends purchasing warehouse good handling equipments for loading andrnunloading items, utilizing storage space properly by eliminating unusable items and applyingrnwarehouse management system.
