The 21strn-century business environment is characterized by a higher level ofrninterdependence between players within a supply chain, and if anything happens at anyrnpoint in this relationship, it ignites a chain reaction across the supply chain. Supplyrnchain disruptions have the potential to unfavorably affect both cost and revenue byrnleading to lost sales as well as a decline in market share and, that is why that thesernpotential impacts of disruptions on a firm and its supply chain make clear thernimportance of building supply chain resilience. Accordingly, the main objective of thernstudy was to assess the supply chain resilience of EthioChicken’s poultry feed business.rnThe study additionally had specific objectives to identify EthioChicken’s poultry feedrnbusiness’s major supply chain capabilities, vulnerabilities and to examine whether arncomparison of EthioChicken’s poultry feed business supply chain vulnerabilities andrncapabilities indicate resilience or not. To meet the study objectives, the researcher usedrna quantitative research method and, a descriptive, cross-sectional, survey type researchrndesign. The study sample consisted of 63 respondents selected using non-probabilityrnpurposive sampling. A structured questionnaire adapted from similar studies was usedrnto collect data. SPSS 23.0 and supply chain resilience framework used to analyze data.rnThe findings revealed the existence of vulnerabilities of Connectivity, Externalrnpressure & Sensitivity, and higher capabilities of market position, efficiency,rnorganization, and anticipation are inherent in the EthioChickens poultry feed businessrnsupply chain. Findings further revealed that with a resilience score of 83%,rnEthiochicken’s feed business supply chain is highly resilient. It is thereforernrecommended that the management of EthioChicken’s feed business It is recommendedrnthat supply chain vulnerability of external be mitigated through the capability ofrnvisibility through further strengthening effective business intelligence programs.
