Analysis Of The Humanitarian Logistics Performance The Case Of Ethiopian Red Cross Society

The objective of the research study is to analyze the humanitarian logistics performance ofrnEthiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS). The researcher has used SCOR model to measure thernhumanitarian logistics performance of ERCS. The study is descriptive and Correlation research.rnThe researcher undertakes a census study in Ethiopian Red Cross Society. The study has usedrnprimary data collected through self-administered questionnaire. The self administeredrnquestionnaire data are analyzed using mean as a measure of central tendency and inferentialrnstatistics. According to the findings of the study, ERCS perform best in responsiveness and thernreliability performance attribute needs improvement. In addition to this, the relationshipsrnproposed in the framework were tested using Person’s correlation. From the result of thernanalysis it is concluded that there is positive and statistically significant relationship betweenrnprocurement, warehouse management and humanitarian performance. Nevertheless this studyrnindicates there is positive correlation between transport, distribution management andrnhumanitarian logistics performance, the relationship is very weak. This initiates further researchrnto thoroughly see the significance of the relationship in different humanitarian organization.
