Transportation is at the center of logistics as it represents the physical movement ofrnmaterials between points in a supply chain. The pressure to deliver faster and cheaperrnhas made vehicle utilization an important aspect of fleet management. Better vehiclernutilization lowers operating cost through better planning. Transport planning requiresrnsoftware support with the use of transportation management systems. The aim is torndetermine routes that will provide the highest overall utilization of vehicle capacity,rnwith as many customers served and the largest amount of goods delivered, at the samerntime as the delivery times are minimized. Efficient logistics are fundamental to effectivernPharmaceuticals fund and supply agency operations. Pharmaceuticals fund and supplyrnagency needs to professionalize its logistics capacity both in the field and atrnheadquarters if it is to ensure that the organization is running as close to its optimalrnedge as possible.The purpose of this study was to assess the effect of fleet managementrnof Pharmaceuticals fund and supply agency. The study has incorporated both primaryrnand secondary source of data. The primary data was collected using questionnaire.rnSecondary data was collected from journal articles, internet website, annual report andrnmagazines. Out of 65 total populations 50 valid responses were collected. Descriptiverndata analysis method through the use of Statistical packages for social science (SPSS)rnversion 16.0 software was used to analyze the data.For the quantitative analyses, thernstatistical analyses include descriptive statistics & for the qualitative analyses narrativerntype of analyses was used.The results indicate thatpharmaceuticals fund and supplyrnagency and its branches should be considering the importance of routine servicing,rnallocation or routing, fuel monitoring, fuel sourcing, fleet administration & costing,rndispatching, vehicle inspection and maintenance Training in decision making process
