In this thesis, the wind speed data measured by the GTZ TERNA program is usedrnto assess the energy output for a hypothetical 51 MW installed capacity wind farmrnat Nazareth site. Using the RETScreen model, the energy output of the wind farm isrnpresented in terms of gross energy production, renewable energy delivered, specificrnyield and wind farm capacity factor. The energy output analysis is done using fourrnwind energy conversion systems of rated capacity 600, 800, 1000 and 1500 kW. ThernRETScreen model is used to perform the financial feasibility analysis of the windrnfarm at this site, likewise the sensitivity and risk analyses are performed.rnFurthermore, a Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) assessment is performed forrnthis wind park. The net annual and total revenue generated from CertifiedrnEmission Reduction sales is calculated assuming Certified Emission Reductionrnprices of $6. The application of subsides on capital finance to the up-front and CleanrnDevelopment Mechanism periodic cost are considered in order to evaluate thernimpacts of Certified Emission Reductions on project viability.
