Background: One of the challenges in multidrug resistance tuberculosis (MDR-TB)rntreatment is the side effect of drug reactions associated with its medications. Among thisrnhypothyroidism and lipid profile are the adverse drug reactions (ADR) challenging in MDRTBrnrntreatment. However, there is limited evidence on the level of hypothyroidism and lipidrnprofile abnormalities and the risk factors associated with them among MDR TB patients inrnEthiopia. rnObjective: To determine thyroid profiles and associated factors among MDR-TB patientsrnon treatment in Saint Peter‟s Specialized Hospital Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. rnMethods and Materials: A cross-sectional study was conducted among patients on MDRTBrnrntreatment at Saint Peter‟s Specialized Hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from Januaryrn2020 to November 2020. Consecutive sampling method was used to enroll a total of 162rnparticipants. From each participant, after getting informed consent and interview on sociodemographicrnrnand anthropometric data, Five ml blood sample was collected in serumrnseparated tubes (SST) and analyzed by Cobas Integra chemistry analyzer.
