Background: Tuberculosis is one of the first most common causes of deaths in the worldrnalongside HIV/AIDS, causing more than 9.6 million new cases and 1.5 million deaths globally inrn2014 alone. This infection also accompanied by hematological and lipid profile alterations. Thernhematological and lipid alteration related to the disease is not yet well determined and hasrnvariation in different studies.rnObjective: This study aimed at evaluating hematological and lipid profiles in pulmonaryrntuberculosis patients in Metema hospital and Gondar referral Hospital, North West Ethiopia.rnMaterials and methods: A case control study design was implemented from January to Julyrn2017. One to one case to control ratio was used and a total of 88 blood samples were collected.rnThere were 44 samples from tuberculosis patients and 44 samples from apparently healthyrnindividuals. Collected bloods were tested using Hematology analyzer (sysmex) and Mindrayrnchemistry analyzer for hematological and lipid profiles, respectively.rnResults: The mean + SD of hemoglobin, hematocrit and red blood cell count of the pulmonaryrntuberculosis patients were significantly lower than control groups (P < 0.05). However, plateletrncounts, total white blood cell counts, and erythrocyte sedimentation rate were significantlyrnincreased as compared with control groups (p
