Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the first commonest diagnosed cancer in men and thernfourth commonest in women in Ethiopia. The most significant factors that may increase the riskrnof having CRC were modifiable. These factors were prevented by increasing awareness of thernpopulation. rnObjective: This study aimed to assess the awareness of CRC and its associated factors amongrnadult patients attending Jimma University Medical Center, South-West Ethiopia, 2020. rnMethods: The institution-based quantitative cross-sectional study design was conducted amongrn422 patients at Jimma University Medical Center from March 8 to April 30, 2020. The studyrnparticipants were recruited by a systematic random sampling method and data was collectedrnsemi-structured interviewer-administered questionnaires.
