Background: Lung cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the leading cause of cancerrndeath worldwide. There are two main types of lung cancer, non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) andrnsmall-cell lung cancer (SCLC). Non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for 80% to 85% ofrnlung cancer.
