Background: Cytotoxic extravasation is the major adverse effect than the combinations ofrnsepsis, neutropenia, mucositis and gastrointestinal disorders. Pain, immobility, irreversiblerndamage of nerve, tissues and tendon, skin grafting and loss of extremity are the significantrnmorbidities secondary to extravasation. rnObjective: The aim of this study was to assess nurse’s knowledge and associated factorsrntowards prevention and management of cytotoxic extravasation in selected publicrnhospitals, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 2021. rnMethods: A descriptive cross-sectional study design was conducted at Tikur AnbessarnSpecialized Hospital and Saint Paul Hospital Millennium Medical College that wasrnselected purposely. A convenient sampling technique was employed for the selection ofrnstudy participants. The data was collected by using a structured self-administeredrnquestionnaire. The data entry and cleaning was done by using Epi-data version 4.6 andrnSPSS version 25.
