Background: Family planning is central to gender equality and women’s empowerment and it isrna key factor in reducing poverty.Long acting family planning methods provide uninterruptedrnprotection to women for 3 to12 years and by far the most effective and very safe. It is dividedrninto intra uterine contraceptive devices and implants; when it was removed, return to fertility isrnprompt.rnObjective: The objective of this study was to assess utilization of long acting family planningrnmethods and associated factors among married reproductive age women in Silti District, SilternZone, SNNPR, Ethiopia, 2017.rnMethods: A community based cross-sectional studysupplemented by qualitative focus grouprndiscussion was conducted by multi stage sampling technique with sample size of 528. Studyrnsubjects selected by systematic random sampling for quantitative data and purposive samplingrnprocedure for qualitative data.The data was enteredusing EPI INFO version 3.1and analysis wasrndone by using SPSS version 22. Coding, entry and statistical analysis were done. Strength ofrnassociation was measured using odds ratio and 95% CI. Statistical significance was declared at prnvalue
