Youth Friendly Service Utilization And Associated Factors Among Preparatory School Students In Sodo Town Southern Nations Nationalities And Peoples Region Ethiopia
Background: Youth is a period of life in which an individual passes from significantrnphysiological, psychological and social changes that expose them at high risk of reproductivernhealth problems. Even though, there were several strategies approved to solve reproductivernhealth problems of young people including international conference on populationrndevelopment, they still face with unsafe abortion, unintended pregnancy, sexually transmittedrninfections, acquired human immune deficiency syndrome, lack of provision of condoms andrnunmet need of family planning.rnObjective: To assess youth friendly service utilization and factor among preparatory schoolsrnstudents in Sodo Town, Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples Region, Ethiopia 2017.rnMethods: An institutional based cross-sectional study was conducted among preparatoryrnschool students in Sodo Town. Stratified sampling technique was used based on the type ofrnschool they had attended. Proportional allocation was done to both government and privaternschools and to each grade to select 398 respondents. The data was entered with Epi-data versionrn3.1 and analyzed using SPSS version 22. Descriptive statistics was done and result presentedrnwith tables and graphs based on the nature of the variables.
