Background: There are a number of complications of pregnancy that confer significant ongoingrnrisk to the mother or fetus. For these conditions, induction of labor is as an artificial terminationrnof pregnancy utilized to decrease both maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality. Thernprocess of inducing labor is not always successful and sometimes fails to achieve a safe vaginalrndelivery.rnObjectives: The objective of the study is to assess the prevalence and factors associated withrninduction of labor success among laboring mother in Addis Ababa army hospital.rnMethods: Institution based retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted among 347rnpregnant women undergone induction of labour from 2011-2013 in Addis Ababa referral armyrnhospital. Using structured questionnaire. Three data collectors and one supervisor were trainedrnand involved in data collection process. Data was entered and coded using Epiinfo and analysedrnusing Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21. Descriptive statistics were usedrnto describe the study variables. Odds ratios (95% confidence intervals) was used to determine thernassociation of different factors with success of induction of labour.
