An empirical formula based on Bohr’s classical approach has been obtained to predict thernstopping power for proton with energies 1-12Mev/amu in elemental targets. The range formula isrndetermined by directly integrating the stopping power formula of proton. These relations are alsornused to find the stopping power for compound targets by using the Bragg’s additivity rule.rnThe results are compared with experimental data and tabulated values of Bichsel andrnSternheimer, and discussed at various energies of proton
