Triphenyltinbenzoate and triphenyltinbenzoate aniline complex had beenrnsynthesized and characterized on the basis of infrared, mass and nuclearrnmagnetic resonance (1H and 13C) spectral studies. The synthesized compoundsrnhad sharp melting point which indicated the purity of the compounds.rnThe antimicrobial activities of the synthesized compounds were tested against sixrndifferent pathogenic microorganisms; Escherichia coli, Pseudomonasrnaeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Aspergillus nigerrnand Candida ablicans in vitro. The results indicated that the synthesizedrncompounds exhibit a higher activity against Escherichia coli, Streptococcusrnpyogenes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida ablicans than the startingrncompound. The results also indicated that the compounds did not exhibit anyrnactivity against Aspergillus niger at concentration as high as 200 μgml-1.
