Alpha particle induced reaction on the two gallium isotopes has been studied in the intermediaternenergies up to 70MeV.The excitation functions of the six reaction channelsrnwere calculated using the semi classical model computer code COMPLET.The theoreticalrnresults are compared with the experimental excitation functions obtained fromrnEXFOR data source,IAEA.In general the shape of the theoretical excitation functionsrnwere fairly reproduced with the experimental results.The study shows that atrnintermediate energy,alpha induced reactions on medium weight nuclei occurs throughrnpre-equilibrium as well as equilibrium(compound) nucleus stages
