Neutron stars are the collapsed cores of some massive stars. These compact objectsrn(NS) have incredibly high densities and the strong magnetic fields (Pulsars havernmagnetic field 1012G,Magnetars have magnetic field 1015G)[1]. Phenomena likernthis trigger people to look for the solutions of Dirac equation in strong magneticrnfields. In this thesis we discuss the properties of the solutions of the Dirac equationrnin presence of a uniform background magnetic field. The nature of the solutions, theirrnortho-normality properties, dependence of these solutions on the choice of the vectorrnpotential giving rise to the magnetic field and explicit calculation the spin-sum of thernsolutions are areas of emphasis
