To extract information for the appropriate proton beam energy, which will be usedrnfor irradiating natural Ge crystal for the best yield of As isotopes, is the mere objective ofrnthis work. Five slices of natural Ge crystal with various thickness have been prepared inrnorder to make energy degradation, and a proton beam energy of 35MeV is set to be incidentrnonto the fIrst slice. After irradiation measurement~ have been taken from each slice using arn~(Li) detector, and spectral analysis are also carried out. From the complete spectralrnanalysis and using a computer simulation programme called Transport of Ions in Matterrn(TRllvI) the projectile proton beam energies are determined for the best yield of 71 As, 71 As,rn'4As, '6As, 6'~, and 6'Ga isotopes.rnIn this thesis the experimental results are di~cussed, and calculations are carried outrnfor the cross-sections of the observed reaction product. From the dependence of therncross-section versus projectile beam energy, extrapolation is made to estimate therncorresponding threshold energy for the reactions to occur
