In this thesis tropospheric and stratospheric CO have been derived from FTIR spectrometerrnand analyzed since May 17, 2009. All the sources of error indicate that it is notrntoo much to cause signi cant error in our result. The degree of freedom (DOFs) for COrnis nearly 3 which means there are about 3 independent pieces of information from thernmeasurement. The measurement is more sensitive to lower atmosphere than upper atmosphere.rnThe minimum and maximum mixing ratio of CO in the troposphere have beenrnobserved in November 2009 and January 2010 respectively while the stratosphere COrnVMR is minimum in May 2009 and maximum in February 2010. Inter-annual variationrnhas been detected through a relative increase in CO VMR of May 2010 compared to Mayrn2009. Our results have also shown that the enhancement of O3 in conjunction with thernenhancement of CO is associated with plumes in the upper troposphere on December 08,rn2009. While stratosphere-troposphere exchange contributed to the enhancement of O3 inrnthe upper troposphere when lowest CO VMR is seen on January 21, 2010
