Background: Malnutrition remains one of the most common causes of morbidity andrnmortality among children throughout the world. It is one of the most serious public healthrnproblems in Ethiopia. There are also different problems in different regions of the countryrnrelated to feeding practices. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of child feedingrnpractices on nutritional status of Children 6-59 months of age in the case of SNNPR,rnEthiopia.rnMethod: This study was carried out using quantitative data to analyses.The child data fromrnEthiopian Demographic and Health Survey-2016 was taken for analysis. The study considersrnlast birth children 6-59 months of age in SNNPR region. A binary logistic regression wasrnfitted to analyze the effects of child feeding practices on nutritional status of children 6-59rnmonths of age using SPSS Version 20.rnResults: This study show that Improved source of drinking water((AOR: 0.531; 95% CI:rn(0.531 - 0.772)). richer wealth status ((AOR: 0.479; 95% CI: (0.262 - 0.876)) and richestrnwealth status ((AOR: 0.367; 95% CI: (0.167 - 0.809)), Antenatal Care four or more visitingrn(AOR:0.629; 95% CI: (0.409 – 0.972), two under five children ((AOR:1.533; 95% CI:(1.034rn- 2.273)) and three or more under-five children ((AOR:3.275; 95% CI:(1.398 - 7.672)), 18-23rnage in month ((AOR:6.431; 95% CI: (2.440-16.952)) and 36-47 age in month ((AOR: 13.518;rn95% CI: (3.494 - 52.307)) and very small or smaller than average sized children ((AOR:rn1.615 ; 95% CI: (1.037 - 2.516)) have shown statistically significant effect on stunting of lastrnborn children 6-59 months.rnConclusion: Strategies to improve nutritional status of children, improving the nutritionalrnstatus of the mother and her income status. With respect to health extension workersrngenerally giving participatory nutrition education to create awareness and to developrnbehavior change communication for better feeding and caring practices among therncommunity.To promote family planning programs in order to control number of children andrnalso to increase birth interval is another important component
