Project management is believed as an effective and resourceful method forrnachieving a goal that is better than the other available methods, processes and techniques.rnHence, this study aimed to assess the project management practice of Ethiopian ConstructionrnDesign and Supervision Works Corporation using the five process groups defined by PMIrn(PMBOK). The research used a mixed approach and adopted a descriptive research design. Thernprimary data collection was done by using an interview and questionnaire instruments.rnPercentages and mean values were used to analyze the data collected. Accordingly, the findingsrnof the research showed a moderate level of project management practice within the organization.rnAlso the study revealed that the levels of planning practice to be higher than the other processrngroups in the organization while the project closure process group has the lowest practice level.rnFurthermore, the study identified that the level of practice of activities related to risk,rnprocurement, communication, project control, cost, time and documentations to be low. Thus, thernstudy recommends that the organization should give more emphasis or considerable attention forrnprocesses related to project control, risk, procurement, communication, cost, time,rndocumentation and dissemination of lesson learned during the implementation of each processrngroups in order to strengthen the practice of project management in ECDSWC.
