Labor law inrnevery nation states that it is the responsibility of an employer to ensure that every workerrnemployed by the company works under safe and healthy conditions and free from any harm. Thernmain objective of this project work is to assess the practice of health and safety management inrnconstructions by taking ELMIOLINDO Contractors PLC construction sites in Addis Ababa as arncase. 50 professional employees of the company participated in filling out the questionnairerngiven to them by the researcher additionally, documented sources were used for more accuraterndata including site observation/visit. The data has been combined through structuredrnquestionnaire and interviews; and analyzed using descriptive statistics with Microsoft Excel &rnIBMSPSS Software. This research found out that both of the construction sites have had anrnaccident during the past three years. According to the findings, of the study every stakeholders inrnthe industry take a share for the fatalities that occurred with contractors taking the largest part.rnAs a result, the study revealed that the company has limitations in its workplace health andrnsafety management practices.
