The main purpose of this project work is to examine the influence of project stakeholderrnmanagement in Ethiopian Airlines IT projects. Mixed methods research approach is applied tornproduce more complete understanding of the research problem. And a descriptive researchrndesign is used for setting out baselines for the study. The (primary and secondary) data werernobtained from 40 questionnaire respondents (through five point Likert scale), interviews with sixrnselected individuals and internal documents. The findings of the study revealed ETG IT projectsrnstakeholder management processes practice were moderate. Identify stakeholders and managernstakeholdersâ€™ engagement processes were relatively well practiced compared to plan stakeholderrnmanagement, and monitor stakeholder engagement. The study inferred project manager, projectrnboard (sponsor) and vendor had positive impact based on the stakeholder impact analysisrnundergone on selected IT projects stakeholders. Moreover, the study related to comparativernimportance of project management â€˜Knowledge Areasâ€™, project stakeholder management werernranked 7rnth only topping human/resource, communication and procurement management on theirrncontribution to Ethiopian Airlines Group IT projects performance. To improve IT projectsrnperformance, the study recommend that PMO shall give focus on project stakeholderrnmanagement. The study also endorses a stakeholder impact analysis method used in this projectrnwork for its considerations of more stakeholder attributes compared to the existing stakeholderrnimpact analysis based on â€˜Power vs Interestâ€™ matrix. Overall, the proper practice of projectrnstakeholder management on IT projects helps stakeholdersâ€™ interest grow, enables soundrnstakeholdersâ€™ relationship, and boost overall business performance.
