The purpose of this study is to look at the perception of the selected individualsrnthat is gender and persons with disabilities towards the implementation ofrnaffirmative action in the education sector in Kampala-Uganda.rnThis research used both qualitative and quantitative methods to examine thernpolicy contributions in the education sector.rnThe instruments utilised to collect data were questionnaire, interview andrnsecondary information sources. To report the findings, descriptive statisticsrnwere used. On the whole, the findings indicate that gender and persons withrndisabilities are still discriminated even though government states thatrnaffirmative policies have been implemented in the education sector. Hence bothrngender and persons with disabilities facing problems like women not beingrnrepresented equally with men.rnAlso persons with disabilities are not considered with facilities needed in therneducation sector and still discriminated. As a result, the study provides somernrecommendations aimed at redressing the situation where by the governmentrnhas to put an independent ministry dealing with the marginalised groups so thatrnit keeps on monitoring and evaluating these services. Also to make sure that allrnfacilities are provided for gender and disabilities thus improve on the policyrnimplementations of affirmative action in the education sector
