Background: Globally depression among women is a public health problem. Postpartumdepression is a depressive symptoms and syndromes that happen within the first year after birth.rnPostpartum depression is more commonly diagnosed among adolescents and it is risk factor forpoor growth and development in children born to these mothers. rnObjective: The study aims to assess the magnitude of postpartum depression and its associatedrnfactors among postpartum adolescent mothers attending at health facilities in Bench Maji Zonein Ethiopia. rnMethod: Facility based cross sectional study was deployed among postpartum adolescentmothers between February - April 2019. Multi-stage sampling technique was used to select 407women and a structured questionnaire through face to face interview was used to collect the data.rnPostpartum depression was measured using the Edinburgh postnatal depression scale. Data wereentered in to Epi-data 4.4.2.1 and analyzed using SPSS version software 23.Descriptive statisticswere computed to reveal the magnitude.
