Background: pattern of resort is action undertaken by individuals who perceive them to have rna health problem for the purpose of finding remedy. Delay in pattern of resort to health carernimplicated with fatal complications and prolonged hospital stay. Despite the lack of standards rnon patterns of resort it can be affected by diverse contextual factors. rnObjective: Explore patterns of resort to health care for anthrax, anemia and diarrheal disease rnamong the ‘Fuga’ in Guraghe Zone, Ethiopia.rnMethod: A qualitative research method with thematic analysis approach was followed. The rnstudy was conducted from in June 13 to august, 2020 in Guraghe Zone EZha woreda. The studyrnparticipants were recruited using snowball sampling. Communi ty leaders, HEW and members rnfrom the community were participated. A total of 16 in-depth interview and five Key informantrnwas conducted using Semi structured interview guide. The principal investigator with the help rnof data collectors collected the data using the local language (i.e.guragigna). Codes wererngrouped into three themes further developed into sub them that respond to the research. Field rnNotes and audio recording was used to take data. And then it was transcribed verbatim andrntranslated. Open code software version 4.02 was used for coding and further analysis. rnResult: Total of sixteen participants and five key-informants were included in 25-80 age ofrnrange. Home remedy, spiritual place, traditional healer and modern medication are remedial rnplace where participants resort to health care. Participant’s used home remedy is the first choicernfor anthrax and diarrheal disease. Not cured in home remedy participant’s choices modern rnmedication. And they back to home remedy and simultaneously seek to magician. Lastl yrnparticipant used holy water. Holy water was taken second option and Modern medication used rnas last choices for diarrheal disease. Modern medication used first choices for anemia diseasernand home remedy as second choices. Two participants used home remedy and modern rnmedications at the same time for anemia. Low monthly income, having large family size, lowrneducational level, cultures and social non-involvement are factors that delay the trend of resort rnto health care.rnConclusion: pattern of resort to health care among fuga community was different within rndifferent type of illness. Low household income, having large number of family size, lowrneducational level, and culture are factors that delay pattern of resort to health care yet identity rndoesn’t affect resort to health care. So much work needs to be done by responsible bodies suchrnas health care providers, health facilities, governmental bodies, researchers and communit y rnleader to improve health status and life style of fuga. .
