In the last two or three decades an outstanding large increase in traffic congestion, air pollution, rnpressure on the infrastructure and passengers volumes has occurred. Having a well-designedrnpublic transport network that works individually without any coordination with the other modesrnof public transport was found not to be sufficient. In such a situation providing a door to doorrntrip between all pairs of origins and destinations is neither applicable nor cost-effective. On thernother hand transfer time is the waiting time penalty encountered by passengers at a transfer stoprnor terminal while changing between modes of public transport lines. The higher the transfer timernthe higher the passengers inconvenience and the lower the ridership rates. The lack of properlyrnplanned urban transport in Addis Ababa is manifested through the low degree of efficiency ofrnurban mobility that is now observed in almost all of the city’s centre, sub-centers and other majorrntraffic corridors. As case study Identifying transport problems and integration challenges ofrnAddis Ababa transport is main concern. . Thus, as part of research methodology, this paper triesrnto explore integrated LRT transportation with Anbessa city bus. The objective of this research isrnto develop a scheduling model for operational integration of LRT services and ANBESSA busesrnin case of leghar station. Generally, the research I am going to carry out will clearly show thernsynchronized scheduling of Anbessa city bus and the newly built LRT with operationalrnintegration considering waiting time for the case of Leghar station.
