Psychosocial And Economic Challenge Faced By Parents Of Children With Physical Disability

This study was conducted to assess the existing psychosocial and economic burden on parents ofrnchildren with disability. Descriptive qualitative study type was used. To get information fromrnparents, documents of the center and rehabilitation workers of the center, simple randomrnsampling technique was implemented. Data was gathered in two phases. One of the phases tornget data was demonstrating questionnaire to rehabilitation worker and families of children withrndisability. The second phase was document analysis of the social work department of the center.rnThe data gathered from the respondent show that parents of children with disability haverndifferent type of psychosocial burden. In economic aspect also the parents have burden for thernrehabilitation services and education cost. To come up with the psychosocial and economicrnburden of parents of children with disability different intervention programs should be designed,rnin collaboration with all responsible sectors.
