This thesis focuses on the success stories of former vulnerable children in Arbaminch town.The central purpose is to explore the risks they encountered and the protective factors that helped them remain resilient and finally became successful. Primary data for the study was collected mainly through in-depth life history interview, observation and focus group discussions. A total 55 key informants were interviewed in detail. Life history method was employed to generate data from 30 successful chidren and young adults. Three focus group discussions were held with 8 successful children, 11 teachers, and 9 parents.
