The main purpose of this study was to investigate the main factors that effect the lowrnachieving grade one pupils on the basis of their school academic achievement profiles, theirrnacquisition of basic learning skills, home conditions, school environment, parents and teachersrninteractions and their views regarding this issue.rnOn the other hand, It was also intended to detect if there is any laming disability among theserngrade one low achieving pupils.rnIn tills study no significant difference was found between urban and rural locations in sttiscalrnvalues computed from the responses obtained for data analyses.rnHowever, the results obtained from the responses of the subjects indicated that the lowrnachieving grade one pupils were mostly affected by their cognitive and physical problems (eg.rnMR and language disorder), Parents illiteracy and economically disadvatageousness,rninconducive school environment, age disparity, scarcity of learning materials teachers lowrnattitudes towards their profession and less concern to help the low achieving grade one pupils
