The purpose of this study was to assess the training plan of those selected clubrncoaches and to identify the major factors influencing the implementation ofrnperiodic plan during training and competition. Four Ethiopian national leaguernfootball competitive clubs were selected as subject of the study.rnA total of 68 respondents participated as a source of data, 64 players and 4 headrncoaches of the selected clubs. Observation checklist, document analysis (annualrnplan evaluation checklist) and questionnaires were used as data gathering tools.rnThe data collected were analyzed using percentage and descriptive phrases.rnThe findings of the study displayed that, the annual training plan prepared byrnthose selected club coaches were missed including some major components of arntraining plan such as objectives, psychological training indices and consideringrnthe fixture list. The identified factors that affect the implementation of periodicrnplanning were coach related factors and competition related factor
