The type of research which considered in this research is descriptivernresearch method and it has been conducted to examine the causes for therndeclining the number of Addis Ababa handball clubs. The thesis wasrnorganized into five chapters. The general objective of the study was to assessrnthe main causes of declining of Addis Ababa handball clubs and its scope isrnthe spatial coverage delimited to handball clubs which are assume to bernfound at Addis Ababa. Accordingly, in order to achieve its goals both thernprimary and secondary data collection method has been implemented by thernresearcher. Primary data were collected from formal and informal surveyrnand thus formal survey was carried out by questionnaires, which has beenrnfilled with trainees of handball clubs; interview was conducted to therncoaches of handball clubs, bodiesâ€™ management and member of handballrnclubs. Informal survey was under taken through personal observation in therntraining area. The secondary data was gathered from the related publishedrnmaterials which were found in the library and website. In Addis Ababa cityrnthere is three handball clubs. Out of the total population 48 of those studyrnarea; using purposive sampling method the researcher included 37(77.08%)rnof the sample size. The result of the findings are presented using tabulationrnand pie chart, interpreted using percentage and then analyzed.
