Factors Affecting The Attitude Of Female Students Towards Physical Education Focusing On Someselected High Schools In Chole Woreda

In secondary school there are different factors that challenges the achievement of the generalrnobjectives of physical education.rnThe major purpose of this Study was to explore the main causes of Female Students LowrnAttitude towards physical Education in some selected High Schools in Cholle Woreda.Thernsample size of the study consists of 200 Students, 7 Physical Education Teachers, 6 Schoolrnprincipals and 2 High School Supervisors from WEO. . Regarding to the selection of respondents,rnstudents were selected by random sampling techniques. But all teachers, School directors andrnSupervisors were selected purposively for the study.rnTo carry out the study descriptive survey method was used. Regarding to the procedures of datarncollection questionnaire and interview were what the researcher preferred to use. The resultsrnwere analyzed in percentage briefly. The findings of this study showed that family related factorrnsuch as educational back ground, attitude of society towards female education ,school relatedrnfactor which included absence of school facilities , lack of appropriate guidance andrncounseling ,curriculum irrelevancy ,absenteeism and parents low income were the major causesrnfor females low attitude towards physical education .rnTo summarize the major findings school related factors such us absence of sport club, laboratory,rnsport field , library and factors related to students back ground which includes parentsrneducational status and socio economic back ground were indicated.rnThe conclusion of the study indicates that the problem is a faction of interaction of variousrnfactors that originated from students experiences in the school and out of school factors.rnThe recommendation forwarded includes making awareness creation for the community aboutrnmodern education which focused on girl’s education, preparing the curriculum based on thernstudents need and ability. The school needs to have necessary materials, assigning well trainedrncounselor, helping students economically who came from poor family and other systems whichrnassumed to solve the identified problem
