Practices And Challenges Of Football Coaching Leadership Style And Players Satisfaction The Case Of Addis Ababa National League Clubs

The purpose of this study was to identify the practices and challenges ofrncoaching leadership styles and players satisfaction that can which reflect onrnthe performance of players. For the implementation of the study, a descriptivernsurvey design was employed. The study subjects were selected from the availabrnility samples. In this attempt, data were collected through questionnaires,rninterview and observation checklist. Four sample Ethiopian national leaguernparticipant clubs were selected, from nine clubs (Addis Ababa University, BiosrnCollege, Addis Ababa police and federal police) national league clubs usingrnsimple random sampling technique. Thus, the subjects in the study were 60rnrandomly selected football players from the four clubs and four coaches, fourrnmanagers were purposively selected The findings of the study indicated that,rnfollowing major problems are dominant in Addis Ababa league: understandingrnlevel of the player, individual difference, family background of the player,rneducational levels of the players and soon. These were the most difficulties thatrnfaced to coaches to apply the best suited coaching leadership style to enhancernthe player’s performance. At the end some recommendations were made forrnobserved challenges or problems o the coaching leadership style.rnKey words: challenge, coaching, football, leadership, sport
