The high population of youth unemployment is one of the most critical issues atrnglobal level. Which is caused by socio-economic and demographic factor. The objectivernof the study was to identify the determinants of youth unemployment in Urban Ethiopia.rnThe study is done based on the 2018 Urban Employment-Unemployment Survey (UEUS)rnwhich was conducted by the Central Statistical Agency (CSA) of Ethiopia. The datarnanalysis was conducted by using descriptive statistics, chi-square test and multilevel logisticrnregression model. Out of 8,183 youth, 2484(30.36%) of were unemployed while 5699rn(69.64%) were employed. The chi-square test result shows there was a signi_cant associationrnbetween youth unemployment at socio-economic and demographic factors. Thernmultilevel logistic regression analysis also shows that sex, marital status, educationalrnlevel, kinship and _eld of study were found to be statistically signi_cant determinants ofrnyouth unemployment in urban Ethiopia.
