The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between attitude andrnperformance and to examine gender differences in the English language performance asrna function of attitude, teacher characteristics, parental occupation and parentalrneducational level. Two questionnaires on attitude and interview were administered to arnrandom sample of 71 students of grade 10. T-test and multiple regression analyses werernemployed.
