This study was conducted for the purpose of finding out the attitude andrnmotivation of grade 9 English teachers and students towards teaching andrnlearning EFL through plasma TV. It was conducted in Holeta andrnMenegesha senior Secondary schools in west showa Zone.rnFor this purpose, one hundred fifty (150) grade nine (9) students andrneleven (11) English teachers from both mentioned schools werernparticipated in the study. In order to collect the necessary data,rnquestionnaire, Interview and classroom observation were successivelyrnused. The data collected through questionnaire and classroom observationrnwere tabulated and analyzed in terms of frequency, percentage and meanrnvalue quantitatively. Likewise, data obtained from interview were organizedrnand described qualitatively.rnOn the basis of the analysis made, it was concluded that both teachersrnand students were found to have positive attitude and motivations towardsrnteaching and learning through PTV.However, the pace of PTVteacher, therntime allotment for each activity and for different lessons, the time allottedrnfor classroom teacher to do the necessary facilitation, the interruption ofrnprogram due to electricity, and technical problems of the PTVitself are thernmajor factors which were found to affect their positive feelings.rnBased on the findings of the conducted study, some importantrnrecommendation have been forwarded to address certain issues that werernindicated specially to affect certain positive feelings.
