The major purpose of this study was to investigate the application and perception ofrnstudents toward PTV instruction in the case of Worifi secondary and preparatory school.rnThe study further examined the factors that affect the perception of students, advantagernand disadvantage of PTV instruction. To realize the purpose of the study, multiple casernstudy was used and the necessary data were secured from 4 chemistry teachers and 20rnstudents; from grade 9 and 12, 2 directors from high school and preparatory level, onernEMA manager and one chemistry expert of EMA. Data were gathered through interview,rnFGD, observation and data file. 1n depth interview employed for all participants,rnobservation used for site visiting and classroom observation. FGD was used only forrnstudents for forther identification of the application of PTV and perception of studentsrntoward PTV instruction. File data were used to secure iriformation on selectedrnparticipants (teachers and students). The data were analyzed and interpreted throughrncategories analysis method by using heading and narrative description way. The findingsrnshowed that: high achiever students had positive, low achievers had negative; andrnmedium achievers developed both negative and positive perception toward PTVrninstruction. Moreover, the finding showed that, there was a technical problem in thernapplication of PTV instruction. Several factors like language and speed of PTV teachersrnwere having influence on the development of positive perception among studentsrnregarding the application of PTV. On the other hand, PTV instructions have severalrnadvantages like for demonstration of complex laboratory activity, gives the standardizedrneducation all over the counny. Thus, instead of this effective application of PTV and tornenhancing positive perception of students toward PTV, the PTV teacher should concernrnthe individual difference of students that exist between them in teaching-leaning processrn.The concerning bodies including Worifi General Secondary School; EMA, MOE andrnPolicy designer should give attention for PTVapplication in teaching learning process.
