ABSTRACTThis is intended to give a brief, comprehensivesummary of the context of the thesis.Chapter one is the introduction which lead us towhat Culture is all about in general and the briefhistory of Nok Culture. It further on to treat therelief, drainage, geology of the Nok sites in Nigeriawhile the need to preserve Nok Culture finalized thechapter.Chapter two on the other hand, examines Museumsin general, literature review and case studies ofNational Museum of western Art, Tokyo, Gallery ofModern Art Turin, National Museum Lagos, NationalMuseum Jos, National Museum Kaduna, and Esie Museumin Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara state.Chapter three briefly treats tourism. It examineswhat tourism is all about, tourism potentials in statesaffected by Nok Culture. This chapter also gives therelationship between Museums and Tourism in Nigeria.The chapter concluded by treating transport andaccommodation for tourists.Chapter four examines the problems existing inMuseum design. These problems include, securityagainst theft, fire and damage. The chapter alsotreats ventilation, climatic condition control andconservation, circulation, layout of display area anddisplay elements.xiiChapter five examines Ham Architecture and theexisting infrastructures for reason of design conceptadaptation.Chapter six examines the proposed site for thisproject. It also discussed the factors affecting thechoice of the site, the advantages and disadvantagesinvolve, analysis of the site and the site concept.The. final chapter (that is chapter seven) givesthe summary of the whole design from the early stageto the final stage.•
