R A C TThe purpose nf this study was to investigate therelationship between English language performance andperformance in other subjects (content) in Post primaryschools of Hano btate.The population of the study comprised of allsenior post primary institutions in the State, Theinstitutions were stratified into three groups andeighteen were randomly selected.Four null hypothesis and four research questionswere the pivot of the study. The data of the studywas the past five years (1982 - 1986) SC, TC,Grade II and GCE Examination results of the sampledschools.Pearson product moment correlation was thestatistical tool used to test the relationshipbetween:-1.
